Make yourself a merry little Christmas. 24 days of gifts and
makes to create a frugal home made Christmas.
Day eighteen.
Coffee stained gift tags
Coffee stained gift tags.
You will need:
Manilla cardstock (or shipping tags)
Powdered coffee
Method:
In a heat proof microwave dish add in a heaping spoon of
powdered coffee and tags. Be sure to spread the coffee between each layer of
coffee. Boil the kettle and pour the boiling water over the tags and coffee. In
the microwave place on high and cook for about 1 – 2 minutes, making sure to
watch that it doesn’t boil over. The longer the cook time the darker the coffee
colour.
Make up some ‘bakers twine’ by twisting together red and
white stranded cotton (or colours of choice) and use a hole punch to punch a
hole in the tag if you are not using shipping tags. Thread the cord through the
hole and tie off.
Tags can be stamped (as shown) or a small Christmas image
can be cut out and glued to the tag.
